Michael

Michael and Rosalie came to our house on Manual Road. We all loved Rosalie but we fell in love with Michael that summer. He was not that comfortable sitting around, or swimming in the Bay but he was ready for a project. He took off his shirt and built our stairs to the upper garden. They were beautiful and we adorned them with a plaque of the year and his name.

What a talented man. He made beautiful bowls and breadboards, and a summer garden house in Lillington. He was always up for helping, baking bread, and making sure we all got our exercise in the field adjoining their house.

I do not believe there are many men like Michael around–generous, open-minded, almost ego-less, and humble. I am so grateful that I got to know and spend time with him; he was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
